If you're getting Award Bios's BootLock - this means something is wrong with the flashing code contained in your BIOS which probably happened due to a corrupt BIOS flash/update so it's navigate to this website I am a volunteer and I do not work for HP. Try buying a new bios chip from the guys at badflash.com. It is so annoying going backwards file by file. I'we got it to boot following instractions on http://www.biosflash.com/e/bios-boot-cd.htm However bios update found on compaq support site expects update to be done from windows, so no luck there.
