When I try to run Disk Utility on the drive with the music it does not allow me to verify or repair the disk. What is wrong please? I guess I'm just being ignorant in assuming that if it was a successful method, that people would have mentioned it and the mystery would be gone by now. Mac CD/DVD drives have to have a spin up time that is less than some number or the software times out and they have to be low power. Do you think if I bought a replacement drive the problem would, at least, be gone for a while ? Please type your message and try again.
